This is my newest great Grandson, TRE. I have not seen him in person yet and he is already 7 months old! ♥  But I am blessed with all my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!

So much has happened since last I posted!  My entire year of 2017 was fraught with negative events.  I have had a very hard time of it for many reasons but God has helped me all along the way.  I am praying that things will improve.  And 2018 has started out with a bang with my identity theft just 2 weeks ago.

Here is the wonderful photo of TRE and big sister Sofiah, who just had her fifth birthday!  Where does the time go?

I have moved and still trying to settle in at my new house.  It is very old with dark woodwork and many interesting nooks and crannies which I love.  It is only 5 blocks from my last home so is still "in the neighborhood" close to my work and close to my friend John. Upstairs had a linen cupboard with 2 doors that did not close.  So I removed them, keep the linens in the drawers below and now have a bookcase/display shelves, a nice update and feature.
the hall leads to one of the bedrooms and the bath is on the right.  Have any of my readers been remodeling or crafty things??  I would love to hear!  Pls leave comments :)
I have been crocheting more after not having the use of my right arm for 3 months plus due to surgery in my shoulder.  I finished this afghan of "Jamie Stitch". ,u favorite (you can find on line) just last week and have made many Winter hats and given them as gifts, also.
I have begun a new Bible Study at my church last Wednesday and I am really going to enjoy it.  Also reading a great book by Ravi Zachariah, "Jesus among the Secular Gods."  I am learning a lot.  I listen to Marshill Network Radio at 102.9 in my area and he is one of my favorite speakers.  When I am lonely, my radio is my best friend-Ha!

Spring has to be coming and I AM READY!  Lots of snow in Central NY this year and I am not enjoying shoveling as much this year with the surgery healing in my shoulder.  God Bless all, I have missed not posting and hope you are still following...
Have a most wonderful and blessed week ahead!

Rylen Lynch, little Angel

It is with a broken heart that I have to say  that Little Rylen Lynch, now 6 has gone home to the Lord today.  He is in the arms of Jesus.  My tears are flowing.  Rylen was truly an angel, a walking, talking miracle who was born with hydrocephalis.  He was born the last year of my husband's life when he was fighting cancer and we looked forward to seeing Rylen's progress.  Rylen was not supposed to live at all as he had little brain matter at all and his parents were told he would not survive the first hours.  But this little guy and the Lord knew better.  With many many medical problems, despite having a shunt in his brain, Rylen thrived, learned to walk and talk and sing and his smile was worth everything!!

The world has lost a precious soul and Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel.  I pray that I will meet him in Heaven one day and kiss his little face in he new, perfect body.  God bless his parents, Reagan and Alicia Lynch who never gave up.  Rylen became ill starting with an ear ache and then his brain swelled and the Lord took him home.

Rylen, brought JOY to my life and many, many others in his short life and his little sister will miss him as well as thousands of others who followed his amazing life.  Never give up hope.....  I love you Rylen.  You can find Rylen's story on Facebook under Alicia Wescott Lynch.

HAPPY AND BLESSED SATURDAY!

Don't forget to hop over to Beverly's at

to see what others have posted!
I always marvel at God's handy work, His creation is wonderful and it is our responsibility to sow, keep and till the earth. Genesis 2:15.  How precious is our earth.
A trip to Bucktail falls near Borodino, NY with John's Nephew and great Nephew who loved walking through the falls that is waning due to the lack of rainfall all summer but none the less beautiful....
And Nature's paintbrush that God has touched with His own hand to bring out the beauty of this leaf.
God saying good-night...I never get tired of seeing a sunset in the Glory of our Savior, reminding me how vast the heavens are and how small I am.
The excited feeling I get when I find a freshwater fossil like this snail shell...

the miracle of a locust that takes 7 years to mature in the ground, comes up covered in dried earth and is reborn from his shell overnight on my porch....

Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
The drudgery of life, that sometimes gets us down because of our jobs, because everything is not going our way, because we have lost a friend, a loved one, a spouse and we sometimes wonder what's it's all about!  If you can just remember that God is in control of all things in our lives and that we matter to Him because we are His children and he cares deeply about us, that we can cope and grow and find the Joy that is missing in our hearts.

"God, remind me that nothing can happen to me today that YOU and I cannot handle"
Matthew 28:20 - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5 - [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

And remember to pray always and everywhere.
The Lord's Prayer
5And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their reward. 6But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.…

Remember that we go to a Church building to fellowship with other Christians, to enlighten and encourage one another and to hear the Word of God.  But the CHURCH is the PEOPLE not the building.  And God hears his People anywhere they speak His name.

 https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/bible-study-course/bible-study-course-lesson-10/the-church-is-not-the-building

In the Bible the word church is a translation of the Greek word ekklesia , meaning “a calling out.” It never refers to a building or meeting place, but always to people, the ones “called out” of the world’s society by God calling them into His service. The Church of the Bible is not a cold, stone building, but a group of warm and loving people specially chosen by God.

In the Scriptures church can refer to the group of believers in a particular location, such as a city or region, or to the entire body of believers God has called.
So a building with no worshipers cannot really be a church in the biblical sense. The New Testament Church is a group of people called out of this world’s society by God, even if they meet in a rented hall or on a grassy hillside. For example, the apostle Paul greeted the church—the congregation of people—that met in the house of Priscilla and Aquila in Rome (Romans 16:3-5).

When Jesus said, “… I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18), He was saying the Church—His chosen people—would not die out. It would be alive-a warm and caring body of believers striving to serve God, do His work and support each other.

So attend church to hear the word, be NOURISHED in His word and fellowship with one another but always remember that you can talk to Jesus and His Father anywhere, anytime, any place.  Peace be with you and come again soon.

Sum-sum-summertime ♫♫

So long awaited Summer is here in central NYS!  Love all the sounds and sights of Summer!  Late getting a garden in but it is all planted and the plants from the green house are anywhere I had a space in the garden beds.

On the left is a pumpkin plant that grew from a miniature pumpkin that went to seed last fall.  Some mint and not sure if the one in middle is a squash plant or not-ha!
This is my hydroponic pot which works exceptionally well.  There is squash, Peppers and Tomatoes in this.
And this is the raised bed that my friend and Neighbor and significant other built between our yards so we could both share :)  There are red onion sets and shallot sets as well as several different seeds.

My new front porch is finished and I love being able to get out of the car and right up the steps with groceries, etc.  Before there were only steps and to even open the door, I had to reach up from 2 steps down to open it.  And it is just big enough for 2 chairs to sit and survey my kingdom-ha!

I have to wait for the wood to season before staining the floor and steps and paint the railing and posts.  I just love it!

And of course I am enjoying all of the flowers that come up each year.
 Lemon Lillies

My bicycle planter with geranium and Marigold plants I started from seed, wild violets and last years Hosta that came up again :)
I just love the lemon Lillies but they do not last very long.  So what have you been up to in your yard, Do you plant a veggie garden or flowers or just enjoy a beautiful lawn?  Leave a comment and make my day.  Thank you so much for coming and do visit Beverly's Pink Saturday Posts at How Sweet the Sound.  Thanks!

MY GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD ♫♫

Good Saturday afternoon to you!!  I am a Christian, A certified Bible Bethel Bible Teacher, and a Christian Counselor who is often asked about how God forgives sins and does one have to keep on confessing the same sin to be forgiven.  This Daily Bread article is an excellent source for understanding how God forgives our sins and that he actually thinks of them no more once confessed!  I hope this will be a blessing to you.

Our Daily Bread

I had the opportunity to counsel a teen a few weeks ago who was only in our area for the summer.  She was very troubled in many areas of her young life and it is painful to hear the sadness and see the tears of someone who should be having the best years of her life in pain.

God is so amazing in His works and I ended up being the one that was totally blessed by this encounter as well as the lovely young woman.  Number one and most important for parents, friends and counselors:  LISTEN!!  you will never realize how healing just lending your ear can be to someone who really needs some one to actually LISTEN.

I have a saying I put on my desk blotter.  I write it anew in permanent marker whenever I change the year, "Shhh, God is talking...."  God speaks to us all the time but we are so full of self and noise of the world to HEAR.  Retreat from the crowd as Jesus did so that you can hear your heavenly Father speaking to you.  It is amazing what you will hear when you shut off the TV/IPAD/Headphones/cell phones, ad infinitum!

The other day, I woke and could not get the praise song out of my head, "Our God is an Awesome God".  So I pulled it up on YouTube and as I LISTENED TO THE WORDS, my chest filled with joy and I reached to the ceiling with my hands and thanked God.  He touched me.  So God can reach you or use any instrument to communicate with you but think how much more you could hear Him say if it were q u i e t ?

Thank you for your visits which I treasure very much and if you have a question or need a prayer, please comment or e-mail.  Praying you are having a good day and will have a blessed Sunday tomorrow.

Because he lives...

When I survey the wondrous cross my heart was full of pain.  But tomorrow I shall rejoice because my Savior LIVES!!  Hymn is in right sidebar~~enjoy!

Each year at this Easter season, I cringe at the site of our Savior on the Cross and the horrible way he died just to save us from our sins!  And to give us life everlasting!  If you do not believe in the Easter Resurrection, you are poor indeed! All of the Bible would have been a lie had it not been for the cross and resurrection.

In the old Testament, God's stiff-necked people refused to follow His word and during the festival time they would sacrifice a lamb, ram or goat in atonement for their sins.  Hence the saying "a scapegoat", some one or some thing that you blame for all your sin and troubles.  The Goat was then sent into the wilderness and his partner was sacrificed. So God the father brought forth an earthly human Son, born of Mary,  for the sole purpose of sacrificing Him once and for all, DYING for the sins of all mankind so that we might be saved and have eternal life with our Father in Heaven.

What a painful act to lose your only begotten Son so that we might live!  Could you sacrifice one of your children for the world??  Yet this is what God did for us.  Understand that Jesus was in Heaven with His father long before he came to earth and be born of an earthly Mother.  He was always there and always will be there seated beside the Father and of His kingdom, there will be no end.....

Do you not want to live in the Heavenly home that the Father has provided for us?  You can accept his Son Jesus right now by praying to Jesus, inviting Him into your heart and dwell there.  In doing this you will be BORN AGAIN, because you have changed.  The old is gone the New has come.  John 3:1-7  If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.  The old is gone, the new hath come."

Amazing!  I remember when I first became born again in the early 1980's.  I actually was watching one of those TV preachers in the middle of the afternoon.  The man on the screen said, "Won't you pray with me?"  And I did, and I was and I am born again!  I jumped right up off of the couch and claimed Jesus for my own!  If you had ever told me I would be doing this, I would have said you were crazy!  Ha!  But God knew the time and the place and just at that moment, I was ready to receive Him.  Wow, still makes my adrenalin flow just remembering that!  I found a Bible teaching church that I am still a member of and continue to be blessed in numerous ways.

I have given my testimony here on the blog before but it is still good to share and I will do that again soon.  If you are new to reading my Christian blog, please leave a comment as I cherish them.  I hope you take away a blessing with you today and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

For tomorrow we celebrate a risen Christ!  Thank you Father, Thank you Jesus, that you loved us enough to save us.  Amen

My Christian Heart to yours,

Kerrie

MY GOD REIGNETH...

MY GOD REIGNETH!
"Look above and dry thy tears"

"Trust In Him, He'll never fail"

"Sinful soul thy debt is paid"  Jesus paid the price on the cross once and for ALL, for you, for me.  So that we may have everlasting life.  We could never have justified ourselves so God did it for us by sacrificing His only Son.

Each week when our praise team sings at church, I am filled with the spirit and thankfulness that Jesus died for us.  At this special time of year for Christians, we celebrate the Resurrection on the 3rd day after the death of Jesus on the Cross when he is Resurrected from the grave.

Ask questions if you do not understand, sometimes the Bible as written, is difficult to understand.  But once you delve into God's words, all will be made clear.  We cannot ADD TO nor TAKE away anything that is written in the Bible.  It is God's word.

Remember when you were little and your Mom or Dad told you to do something and you asked, "why?"  Because I said so! would be the reply.  Well, we need to heed and read God's word because GOD SAID SO!  Listen to the inspiring video I posted in the sidebar and please worship at your church this Sunday.  Invite a friend, relative, anyone you wish to share the word of God with and be nourished in these trying times we live it.  It is difficult out there but God will carry us through...

JANUARY IS ALMOST GONE!

Hello dear followers, friends and family!  Goodness is it really that long since I have posted??  Well, I fell in love again, imagine at my age! LOL!  After my fall down the cellar steps last spring, my neighbor and I started dating.  I had a most wonderful summer and learned how to sail a boat, took many beautiful rides in the country around Central NY and my home town of Auburn, New York.

But best of all, I had joined the choir and new Praise Group at my church, United Church of Auburn.  Our Pastor plays banjo, I play guitar and sing and his daughter who is only 12 sings with us along with a friend Russ on guitar with his wife doing some vocals, and a church member Phil who plays electric bass guitar.  We have come a long way in just 6 mos or so and I am so blessed to be a part of this group.

God has been very very good to me.  Yesterday was the Anniversary of my husband Bill's passing and it was painful for me.  I cannot believe he has been gone 3 yrs.  Such a wonderful man.

I never thought I could fall in love again but God had other plans. I am not so alone any longer and I know my Sweet Bill would approve of my relationship because my friend a good man, too.

Our Church has been so blessed and has grown a lot in this last year.  We have more new members, more children, wonderful teachers and Outreach people, more activities, Bible Study, Choir and our Pastor has  been featured on Christian Radio several times as "Pastor of the Day".  What a blessing as we have a new person coming to church and Bible study now because she heard Pastor Damon's message on the radio.
Never underestimate how powerful your testimony can be!  Even if you reach only that one lost person, God is pleased.  The person is enriched, encouraged and coming to the Lord because of something one says or a random act of kindness, your smile that they can see the Lord in you and thirst for Him.  Of course good works does not get us into heaven, only Jesus can lead us there by inviting Him into your heart, confess sins and start a new life in Christ.  Oh the joy that will fill your soul!

Thank you so much for visiting today and I will be more diligent in posting in the future.  God is so good...  Have a most wonderful day.  Till you come to visit again,
Kerrie
Praise Team: Phil, Russ, me, Megan and her
Dad, Pastor Damon Gagnier.

Come thou fount of every blessing...

Dear hearts, this hymn has so inspired me!  It brings tears to my eyes!  The Lord is so good and He sends the Holy Spirit to us, to comfort us whenever we are feeling low.  Play the hymn in the sidebar to the right to receive a blessing...

Come thou fount of every blessing

Come thou fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing they grace;
Streams of mercy never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount!  I'm fixed upon it,
Mount of thy redeeming love.

Here I raise mine Ebenezer;
Hither by thy grace I come;
And I hope, by thy good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed his precious blood.

O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here's my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for thy courts above.

Skaneateles Creek, Skaneateles, NY
God's flowing water from which we will never thirst...
fills our hearts with His sweet love and grace until we feel we will burst!

We are by nature fighting a constant battle to be with the Lord, trying to overcome our sinfulness.  We can only be saved by Grace Alone.
Be thy fount of every blessing for all who invite you Jesus into their hearts today ♥

Without a Cross there is no comfort...

What would we ever do without the cross?  The hymn below says it all...

WITHOUT HIS CROSS

Without His cross, there is not comfort.

Without His death, there is not life.

Without His blood, there is no pardon.

Without His Cross there is no crown.

Without His shame, there is no glory.

Without His grief, there is no joy.

Without His Stripes, there is no healing.

Without His cross there is no crown.

Lamb of God, you bring salvation, and with your grace, our hearts are sealed.

Lord with your tears of love you bathe our sorrows.

In your eyes we stand revealed.

Without His cross, there is not comfort.

Without His death, there is not life.

Without His blood, there is no pardon.

Without His Cross there is no crown.

Without His blood, there is no pardon.

Without His Cross there is no crown. (2x)

When God is dealing with my heart and soul, he touches me through music.  This hymn on YouTube in my sidebar makes my adrenalin flow with the Love for the Savior.  Listen.....  Thank you.

Today Christ Died but Sunday is almost here...

Today is Good Friday, the Day Christ gave his life to pay for the sins of us ALL.  But Sunday is coming~after 3 days he arose again, the tomb was empty.  God gave his only begotten Son for you.  What can you give him in return?

Invite Jesus into your heart so that you may be given a new life as if you were born again from above. 2 Corinthians 5:17
He who is in Christ, is a new person, the old is gone, the new hath come.

You will be filled with joy and want to share with others that you are a new person.  Then find a Bible ~ Teaching church and attend.   Carry on the light that Jesus gave us of hope and eternity in Him who rose again.

God Bless you in your new walk with the Lord.  Christians do have fun.  God is so good, rejoice He has risen!

My Christian heart to yours.....

HAVE A BLESSED EASTER DAY!

Approaching GOOD FRIDAY

Can we even imagine the agony that our Lord endured on his journey to the cross?

The crowning of Jesus as King of the Jews~A wood cut
Carved by me in the 1980's

This Son of God was tortured and crucified while not having committed any crime, they could find nothing to charge him with and yet the people shouted "Crucify Him!"   What would you have done if you had been there?

For Christians, Good Friday is a crucial day of the year because it celebrates what we believe to be the most momentous weekend in the history of the world. Ever since Jesus died and was raised, Christians have proclaimed the cross and resurrection of Jesus to be the decisive turning point for all creation. Paul considered it to be “of first importance” that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and was raised to life on the third day, all in accordance with what God had promised all along in the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3).
On Good Friday we remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins (1 John 1:10). It is followed by Easter, the glorious celebration of the day Jesus was raised from the dead, heralding his victory over sin and death and pointing ahead to a future resurrection for all who are united to him by faith (Romans 6:5).
Ultimately Jesus gave up his life for our sins!  In the Old Testament under Jewish Law,  a sacrifice of an animal was offered for sin.  Jesus was the one and only perfect sacrifice for our sins so that we may live in eternity with the Lord and His only begotten Son.  Jesus said no one could come to the Father but through Him.
Have you made a commitment to God?  Have you invited Jesus into your heart, do you know how to?  When you pray inviting Jesus into your heart, and accept Him, that is when you are born again, meaning you start a new life in Christ.
I became born again in the 1980's while watching a TV Evangelist by praying that prayer.  If anyone had ever told me I would be doing that, I would have said "no way!"  But God was working in my life and in my family's life all at once.  God can use anyone or anything as His instrument.  I actually jumped for joy at the moment!  And I could not wait to tell everyone and any one!
I had previously been a Catholic and only knew an intercessional relationship to a punishing God who was unapproachable.  If you add anything to Jesus' dying on the Cross so we could be saved by Grace,  you deny His sacrifice.  You CAN have a personal relationship with God and Jesus, praying directly to them.  God has blessed me so much in these last 30 years after inviting Jesus into my heart!
Bow your head where you are right now and invite the Savior into your heart and accept God's gift of Salvation.  You do not have to start clouting people with a 2 x 4" to tell them about the Lord, just try to set a good example and God will give you the words to say when you have opportunity to share and invite.  Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound!  ♫ ♫  I think this is one of the most popular Hymns ever written.
Thank you for coming.  If you have questions, please ask and I will answer or get the answer for you if I do not know.
This Friday, think of the agony Christ endured on the Cross because God so loved the world that he gave us the gift of His Son.

My Christian heart to yours...

EASTER SEASON

EASTER is one of my favorite holidays if not THE favorite!  I love celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord.  Palm Sunday will be here soon, where has the time gone?

MAT 21:1-11

Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will send them at once.” This took place to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying, “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’”

Even though Jesus wished to come into the city humbly, his followers laid palms in his pathway.

It was a practice of people's of the east to cover the ground that someone of high honor was walking on. You can see this happening in the Bible with king Jehu when the people lay their garments before him in 2 Kings 9:13. In Matthew and Mark's gospels only tree branches and clothes are described as being laid before Jesus. John is the only author who specifies "Palm" branches.

The idea is the same though: The people were honoring
Jesus the way they would honor a king.  So to answer the question of why the people lay palm branches before Jesus we have to ask what the people thought of Jesus to make them honor him in this way.

So the simplest answer to the question of why is that the Jewish people who lay palms and clothes before Jesus wanted to honor him because they thought he was their Messiah.

So the best way to understand the Bible is to read it more and more.  If the formal translations confuse you, buy a copy of "THE BOOK" published by Tyndale House (any bookstore) as it is a comprehensive Bible written in plain language that you will understand.  I use it as a wonderful cross reference to bible reading as it does not take the place of the Bible but rather makes you want to read the original after reading the plain text.  The Book also has many helps such as how to prayer for specific needs which is very helpful when you are in a situation and do not know how to pray for that specifically.

God bless you friends and do come again.  Celebrate the coming of Christ on Palm Sunday.

My Christian heart to yours.
