You Lift Me Up...

This is the most comforting song I have ever heard in modern composing.  I tear up whenever I hear it. It is sung by Josh Groban and you can play it in the link of my sidebar on the right by clicking on the arrow on the left side of the video screen. The underlining in verses are what spoke so much to me...

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence, Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up... To more than I can be.

I LOVE Josh Groban and have ALL his C.D.'s!! The song is wonderful! Did you see him on T.V. on the Fourth at the fireworks at the capitol? He sang several songs, and one was a special song he wrote for our wounded veterans, who he visited at Walter Reed hospital. Many were there in the front row in wheelchairs.

Hi Kerrie, I always think of Bette Middler singing this in some movie she did eons ago...and now I can't remember the name!...and she simply poured herself into it. I don't know Josh and haven't bandwidth so can't respond to that portion. I do love the song though; beautiful!
