BLESSED BE HIS GLORIOUS NAME ♫♫

HAPPY AND BLESSED SATURDAY!

Don't forget to hop over to Beverly's at
http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/pink-saturday/
to see what others have posted!
I always marvel at God's handy work, His creation is wonderful and it is our responsibility to sow, keep and till the earth. Genesis 2:15.  How precious is our earth.
A trip to Bucktail falls near Borodino, NY with John's Nephew and great Nephew who loved walking through the falls that is waning due to the lack of rainfall all summer but none the less beautiful....
And Nature's paintbrush that God has touched with His own hand to bring out the beauty of this leaf.
God saying good-night...I never get tired of seeing a sunset in the Glory of our Savior, reminding me how vast the heavens are and how small I am.
The excited feeling I get when I find a freshwater fossil like this snail shell...

the miracle of a locust that takes 7 years to mature in the ground, comes up covered in dried earth and is reborn from his shell overnight on my porch....

Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
The drudgery of life, that sometimes gets us down because of our jobs, because everything is not going our way, because we have lost a friend, a loved one, a spouse and we sometimes wonder what's it's all about!  If you can just remember that God is in control of all things in our lives and that we matter to Him because we are His children and he cares deeply about us, that we can cope and grow and find the Joy that is missing in our hearts.

"God, remind me that nothing can happen to me today that YOU and I cannot handle"
Matthew 28:20 - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5 - [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

And remember to pray always and everywhere.
The Lord's Prayer
5And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their reward. 6But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.…

Remember that we go to a Church building to fellowship with other Christians, to enlighten and encourage one another and to hear the Word of God.  But the CHURCH is the PEOPLE not the building.  And God hears his People anywhere they speak His name.

 https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/bible-study-course/bible-study-course-lesson-10/the-church-is-not-the-building

In the Bible the word church is a translation of the Greek word ekklesia , meaning “a calling out.” It never refers to a building or meeting place, but always to people, the ones “called out” of the world’s society by God calling them into His service. The Church of the Bible is not a cold, stone building, but a group of warm and loving people specially chosen by God.

In the Scriptures church can refer to the group of believers in a particular location, such as a city or region, or to the entire body of believers God has called.
So a building with no worshipers cannot really be a church in the biblical sense. The New Testament Church is a group of people called out of this world’s society by God, even if they meet in a rented hall or on a grassy hillside. For example, the apostle Paul greeted the church—the congregation of people—that met in the house of Priscilla and Aquila in Rome (Romans 16:3-5).

When Jesus said, “… I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18), He was saying the Church—His chosen people—would not die out. It would be alive-a warm and caring body of believers striving to serve God, do His work and support each other.

So attend church to hear the word, be NOURISHED in His word and fellowship with one another but always remember that you can talk to Jesus and His Father anywhere, anytime, any place.  Peace be with you and come again soon.

Sum-sum-summertime ♫♫

So long awaited Summer is here in central NYS!  Love all the sounds and sights of Summer!  Late getting a garden in but it is all planted and the plants from the green house are anywhere I had a space in the garden beds.

On the left is a pumpkin plant that grew from a miniature pumpkin that went to seed last fall.  Some mint and not sure if the one in middle is a squash plant or not-ha!
This is my hydroponic pot which works exceptionally well.  There is squash, Peppers and Tomatoes in this.
And this is the raised bed that my friend and Neighbor and significant other built between our yards so we could both share :)  There are red onion sets and shallot sets as well as several different seeds.

My new front porch is finished and I love being able to get out of the car and right up the steps with groceries, etc.  Before there were only steps and to even open the door, I had to reach up from 2 steps down to open it.  And it is just big enough for 2 chairs to sit and survey my kingdom-ha!

I have to wait for the wood to season before staining the floor and steps and paint the railing and posts.  I just love it!

And of course I am enjoying all of the flowers that come up each year.
 Lemon Lillies

My bicycle planter with geranium and Marigold plants I started from seed, wild violets and last years Hosta that came up again :)
I just love the lemon Lillies but they do not last very long.  So what have you been up to in your yard, Do you plant a veggie garden or flowers or just enjoy a beautiful lawn?  Leave a comment and make my day.  Thank you so much for coming and do visit Beverly's Pink Saturday Posts at How Sweet the Sound.  Thanks!
